Toyota of Corvallis and LBCC

Supporting the Next Generation of Technicians

Toyota of Corvallis & the LBCC Automotive Technician Program

At Toyota of Corvallis, supporting education, hands-on learning, and career pathways is a core part of how we invest in our community. One of the partnerships we are especially proud of is our long-standing support of the Linn-Benton Community College (LBCC) Automotive Technician Program.

This program plays a vital role in preparing skilled, knowledgeable technicians who will keep our community moving—today and well into the future.

What the LBCC Technician Program Is

The LBCC Automotive Technician Program provides students with real-world automotive education, blending classroom instruction with hands-on shop experience. Students learn everything from foundational automotive systems to advanced diagnostics, preparing them for careers in dealerships, independent shops, and specialized automotive fields.

The program emphasizes:

  • Technical skill development

  • Safety and best practices

  • Diagnostic thinking and problem-solving

  • Career readiness and professionalism

It’s an essential pipeline for developing the next generation of highly trained technicians.

Our Ongoing Support of LBCC

Toyota of Corvallis is proud to support LBCC in multiple meaningful ways—because strong education leads to strong careers.

Supporting Students While They Learn

We don’t just support LBCC as an institution—we support the students themselves. Several of our current technicians are actively enrolled at LBCC, working while completing their education. This allows them to gain real dealership experience while earning their degree and certifications.

From Student to Certified Technician

Many of our Toyota-certified technicians started the exact same way—by attending LBCC, working while learning, and growing into long-term careers. This proven pathway shows what’s possible when education and opportunity come together.

We’re proud to help students transition from the classroom to the shop floor and into successful automotive careers.

What Is Dyno Day—and Why It Matters

One of the highlights of our involvement with LBCC is our support of Dyno Day.

A dyno (dynamometer) is a tool used to measure a vehicle’s horsepower, torque, and overall performance. Dyno Day gives students the opportunity to:

  • See real-time performance data

  • Understand how engine changes affect output

  • Connect theory to real-world results

  • Learn through hands-on testing and analysis

Dyno Day is not just exciting—it’s educational. It helps students better understand engine performance, diagnostics, and tuning in a way that textbooks alone can’t provide.

We’re proud to support Dyno Day because it reinforces learning through experience—one of the most powerful ways to build confident, capable technicians.

  • Creating long-term opportunities for community members

When we support students today, we help ensure skilled technicians are here tomorrow—not just for Toyota of Corvallis, but for the entire community.

Building Careers, Not Just Jobs

Our involvement with LBCC is about more than hiring—it’s about building careers. From students just starting out to certified technicians who once sat in the same classrooms, we’re proud to be part of a pathway that supports learning, growth, and long-term success.

Toyota of Corvallis is honored to stand alongside LBCC, its instructors, and its students—and we look forward to continuing this partnership for years to come.

Because when we support education, we support the future.
