Carseat Safety Classes and Free Car Seat Giving
Supporting Child Safety in Our Community
Toyota of Corvallis & Benton County Health Department Partnership
At Toyota of Corvallis, supporting the well-being of our community goes far beyond vehicles. One of the ways we’re proud to give back is through our partnership with the Benton County Health Department, helping ensure children in our area are safe every time they ride in a vehicle.
A Grant That Made a Real Difference
Through a grant provided by Toyota, the Benton County Health Department was able to receive 500 car seats to distribute directly to families in our community. These car seats were provided to:
-
Families whose children did not previously have car seats
-
Families using expired car seats
-
Families with damaged or unsafe car seats that needed to be replaced
- Families who couldn’t afford a car seat
This program helped remove a critical barrier to child safety by ensuring families had access to properly functioning, up-to-date car seats—at no cost to them.
More Than Car Seats: Education That Saves Lives
What made this initiative especially impactful was the hands-on education that accompanied the distribution. The Benton County Health Department didn’t just hand out car seats—they took the time to teach families how to use them correctly.
Families received:
-
Step-by-step tutorials on proper car seat use
-
Guidance on correct installation for different ages and sizes
-
Education on why correct installation matters
To make the learning as practical as possible, instructors used both personal vehicles and Toyota vehicles to demonstrate installation. This allowed families to see real-world differences between vehicle types and learn how to safely install car seats in their own cars.

Proud to Be a Location for Support & Education
Toyota of Corvallis was honored to serve as a support and education location for this effort. By providing space, vehicles, and ongoing support, we were able to help make these safety clinics accessible and welcoming for families across our community.
We believe dealerships can—and should—be places where education, care, and community support come together.
Our Commitment to Families & the Community
Supporting child safety aligns directly with our values. When children are protected and families are supported, the entire community benefits. We’re proud to stand alongside the Benton County Health Department and Toyota in creating safer outcomes for local families.
This program reflects what we believe in most:
care, education, and long-term community impact.
We look forward to continuing to serve as a trusted partner and resource for initiatives that help keep our community safe—today and for generations to come.
