Growing Greenly

Platinum LEED Certified

What does this mean for you - our customers and neighbors?

To start, a cleaner environment and city. Toyota of Corvallis recognizes its part - down to the water we use, in affecting our community. Changes will begin from the ground up, literally!

We'll be implementing a new type of pavement, that will allow rainwater to seep through to the ground in it's original state - free of pollution, and we'll be creating geo-thermal wells, and cisterns to collect rain water.

Our actual construction will utilize recycles materials all locally bought, throughout our entire store - with LED lighting, sun zone lighting, and double-paned windows to retain heat better!

How will we mark our success?

LEED operates flexibly, so it can be applied to many different types of projects; these range from interior design and construction, to neighborhood development, homes, and building operations and maintenance.

Within these project types, each rating system is made of a combination of categories in which you can earn credits. These credit categories include focuses such as:

Water EfficiencyWater Efficiency - Smarter Use of water, inside and out, to reduce portable water consumption.

Sustainable SitesSustainable Sites - Structures that minimize the impact on ecosystems and water resources.

Materials and ResourcesMaterials and Resources - Using sustainable building materials to reduce waste. Indoor environmental quality credits promote better indoor air quality and access to daylight and views.

Based on this point system, each project earns a LEED Certification level. The highest level is Platinum, at 80+ points, requiring credit points in nearly every category available.

LEED is unique in that it is recognized across the globe as a premier mark in achievement when it comes to green buildings. At Toyota of Corvallis we're dedicated to creating nothing but the best for our loyal customers, past, present, and future.
